Sample Coordinator Timeline

This timeline reflects a course planned for the Fall session. Other sessions follow a similar timeline, with dates adjusted for contracts, syllabus deadlines, and related milestones.

When What Happens
The year before you coordinate Submit your course proposal to the SLIG Director via the SLIG website.
Fall, the year before your course Your course outline is discussed and approved by the SLIG Director. The coordinator contract is sent and signed.
January, before your academic year Submit your coordinator bio, headshot, and course description to SLIG.
End of January SLIG announces courses for the coming academic year.
Before March Full course outline due, including all faculty and a description for each class session.
April 1 Contracts go out to your faculty.
Early April Course details go live on the SLIG website.
Mid-May Registration opens.
July 1 Syllabus submissions due from all faculty members.
July 14 Coordinator syllabus submissions due, including your review of all faculty syllabus submissions.
Late August SLIG sends a “Welcome Email” with all course links, including the final syllabus in Dropbox.
First full week of September Courses begin.
