ABOUT ME
Introduction
Sharon Hoyt, MLIS, CG, is a genealogy researcher, speaker, and writer from California’s Silicon Valley who enjoys researching intriguing stories and brick wall cases.

She has spoken at local, regional, state, and national events, and has taught in the SLIG Advanced Evidence Analysis Practicum and the Board for Certification’s 2024 “Putting Skills to Work” workshop. Her research has won Family History writing contests sponsored by the National Genealogical Society and the Minnesota Historical Society, and has been published in the National Genealogical Society Quarterly, The New York Genealogical and Biographical Record, and Minnesota Genealogist. Sharon holds a master’s degree in Library and Information Science.
