ABOUT ME
Introduction
Michael S. Ramage, JD, CG, is a full-time professional genealogist, author, and lecturer. Mr. Ramage has served as a Trustee, officer, and currently General Counsel of the Board for Certification of Genealogists (BCG). He was also the 2020–2022 President of the APG Forensic Genealogy Special Interest Group. His 25-year legal career focused on real estate and estate law and litigation. Michael has taught numerous genealogy courses at conferences and institutes nationwide. His publications include: Forensic Genealogy: Theory and Practice (co-authored with Catherine B. W. Desmarais, CG, forthcoming from the National Genealogical Society, summer 2024) and the “Forensic Specialization” and “Ethical Considerations” chapters in Professional Genealogy: Preparation, Practice & Standards, edited by Elizabeth Shown Mills (2018).
