ABOUT ME
Introduction
Kathryn Lake Hogan, UE, PLCGS, is a professional genealogist and educator with deep Canadian roots through her Loyalist ancestors. Born, raised, and still living in Southwestern Ontario, Kathryn has been helping researchers find their Canadian ancestors since 2007 through her genealogy business, Looking4Ancestors.

She is a graduate of ProGen 4 and the International Institute for Genealogical Studies, earning professional learning certificates in both English and Canadian genealogy. Kathryn is the author of several research guides on Canadian genealogy and has written for CrossRoads, Family Tree Magazine, The In-Depth Genealogist, and the APG Quarterly.
A past Dominion Genealogist of the United Empire Loyalists’ Association of Canada (UELAC), Kathryn has also served on the boards of the Association of Professional Genealogists and Ontario Ancestors. She speaks regularly at society meetings, national conferences, and genealogy institutes throughout Canada and the U.S., including NGS, Ontario Ancestors, GRIP, SLIG, and the Applied Genealogy Institute.
