Introduction

Suzanne Russo Adams, MA, AG, is an Accredited Genealogist® in Italian research and has been tracing Italian roots for more than 25 years. She holds a BS in Sociology, a BA in Family History/Genealogy, and an MA in European History from Brigham Young University.

Suzanne spent 12 years at Ancestry, working in record strategy, acquisition, content digitization, community relations, and conferences. She is currently employed at FamilySearch as a Senior Content Strategist, overseeing content for the Pacific Area. Over her 13 years at FamilySearch, she has also worked on strategy for the United States, Europe (especially Italy), and Latin America. Suzanne has served on the boards of the Association of Professional Genealogists (APG) and the Utah Genealogical Association (UGA), and as a commissioner for the International Commission for the Accreditation of Professional Genealogists (ICAPGen). She was a lead researcher for NBC’s U.S. Season 1 of Who Do You Think You Are? and is the author of Finding Your Italian Roots: A Beginner’s Guide. When not traveling to archives in search of treasures, she enjoys reading, watching movies, gardening, and singing in the Grand Chorus of Utah Millennial Choirs and Orchestras. Suzanne lives in Utah with her husband and four children.
