ABOUT ME
Introduction
David Ouimette, CG®, CGL℠, is the Senior Program Manager at FamilySearch, where he leads content strategy for the Asia-Pacific region. His work includes establishing record priorities and overseeing the preservation and publication of historical documents and oral genealogies.
David has conducted research in several hundred archives across seventy countries on every continent. Prior to his role at FamilySearch, he was a lead developer and product manager at Ancestry.com, where he oversaw key initiatives including family trees, U.S. records, the search experience, and the original DNA products developed in collaboration with Sorenson Molecular.
David currently serves as Vice President of the Board for Certification of Genealogists and has previously held leadership roles with the Utah Genealogical Association and the National Genealogical Society. He and his wife Deanna reside in Highland, Utah, and are the proud parents of eight children and grandparents to nine.
